چکیده
The primary goal of this study was to evaluate the use Ultra-fine Drift Sand from Yangtze River (China) in place natural sand production foamed concrete. experimental design included factors with varying levels: proportion at four levels (0 percent, 30%, 60%, and 100%). substituted mass material. Each factor's effect on compressive strength, density (dry saturated), air voids, water absorption assessed. According results, all had significant findings. strength concrete increased due an increase curing time; fly ash content up 30%; increasing percent Yangzi river sand; decreasing slag. mixture 10% SF (Silica Fume), 24% FA (Fly Ash) 100% YS (Yangzi soil) gives enhanced results by which it reaches about 7 MPa compared other remaining percentages mixing benefit compression results. This method treatment provides economical way through providing a cheap material that enhances mechanical properties concrete, light weight good isolator improve building's thermal insulation reduce ecological problems save energy. cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Investigating the Performance Characteristics of Asphaltic Concrete Containing Nano-Silica
Using nano-technology materials in the asphalt pavement industry is new compared with Portland cement concrete. The main objective of this study is to investigate the effects of nano-silica modification on some properties of a penetration grade asphalt cement and a typical asphalt concrete. 60/70 penetration grade bitumen was modified with different percentages of nano-silica (i.e. 1, 3 and 5%,...

In this study, the elevated temperature flexural strengths of lightweight foamed concrete (LFC) containing fly ash (FA) and polypropylene fiber (PF) was investigated experimentally and statistically. The variables included were the temperature degrees (in a range of 20 to 600°C), LFC densities of 600, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1400 kg/m3 and additive content. Two mixes were made by replacing 15% and ...
متن کاملExperimental Study on TGA, XRD and SEM Analysis of Concrete with Ultra-fine Slag (TECHNICAL NOTE)
The performances of cementitious materials as well as the efficiency of construction are adversely affected at high temperatures. Previous studies have already demonstrated that ultra-fine (alccofine) material accelerates the hydration of cement particles and subsequently improves the mechanical and durability properties of the concrete at normal temperature. Moreover, at higher temperatures th...
